I am, and at times its crippling. It can be something simple like did i switch off a plug. This spirals to, what if I haven’t. What if it shorts and causes a fire. If it causes a fire, omg it could kill my family or pets or both. This triggers emotions of false grief or similar. All from something that happens very rarely. Or someones on a journey and they haven’t messaged to say they are there. This spirals to them being involved in an accident, with a film reel playing in your mind.

It definitely feels like a multiverse of madness. The feelings are so real, at times when at my lowest. I would cry at these made up thoughts.

Through my recovery or rebuilding, i still have relapses and honestly I don’t think that will ever stop but I won’t give up trying but i have found that since i listen to more sleep meditations, try to focus on breathing when it occurs that i have managed to reduce some of the bouts and symptoms.

One thing i find works is when my brain is really overthinking is to give it a task in my minds eye. So for me, as an example, i like cars.

In my minds eye i pick a car, and then build it to how i want it too look. From wheels to paint colour to interior. By challenging my brain it can’t keep up both overthinking and planning.
